Time off
Requesting time off
- Fill out a Time Off Request Form available at the front desk.
- Turn in the completed form to the office desk.
- Allow 48 hours for approval - do not make plans before your request is approved.
Paid Sick Leave
This company uses the Frontload Method for California paid sick leave. All employees receive the full 40 hours (5 days) of paid sick leave at the beginning of each calendar year (January 1). Unused sick leave does not carry over. See the Benefits and Leave page for full details on eligibility, permissible uses, and your rights.
Holidays
Company holidays are communicated annually. If you have questions, contact a manager or HR.
Family & Medical Leave
Eligible employees may be entitled to job-protected leave under the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) and/or the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Qualifying reasons include:
- Your own serious health condition
- Care for a family member with a serious health condition
- Bonding with a new child (birth, adoption, or foster care placement)
- A qualifying military exigency
Eligible employees may take up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave in a 12-month period. For eligibility requirements, leave procedures, and benefit continuation details, contact management.
Pregnancy Disability Leave
Employees disabled by pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition are entitled to up to four months of unpaid, job-protected Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL) under California law. PDL is separate from and in addition to CFRA leave. Contact management for details and to request leave.
Reproductive Loss Leave
Under California law (SB 848), employees who experience a reproductive loss event - including miscarriage, stillbirth, failed adoption, failed surrogacy, or unsuccessful assisted reproduction - are entitled to up to five days of protected bereavement leave. Contact management in confidence to arrange leave.
