Return to Work After a Medical Leave
Effective 09-22-2026. Applies to leaves that begin on or after this date.
This policy applies to every Amenities team member returning from a leave of absence for their own illness, injury, or health condition that lasts more than seven consecutive calendar days. It does not apply to ordinary sick days, and it does not apply to leave taken to care for a family member or to bond with a new child. You never need a note to use your paid sick time.
Before your first shift back, please provide a short note from a licensed health care provider stating three things: that you are able to return to work, the date you can return, and any temporary restrictions. The note should not include a diagnosis or any details about your condition. Amenities does not ask for that information and does not want it. Any licensed provider can write the note, including a telehealth visit, urgent care, a therapist, or your regular doctor.
If you have trouble getting a note in time, talk to Christopher before your return date. We will give you reasonable extra time and work it out together. If your note includes restrictions, such as a reduced schedule or limits on certain services, we will sit down with you to discuss what adjustments we can make.
Return-to-work notes go directly to Christopher. Send yours to admin@amenitiesspa.com or hand it to him in person. Notes are kept in a separate confidential medical file, not in your personnel file, and are not shared with managers or staff. Managers are told only your return date and any schedule changes they need to know about.
This policy applies equally to everyone in the same situation. No one will be treated differently for taking a medical leave, for needing extra time to get a note, or for returning with restrictions. Injuries that happen at work follow the separate workers' compensation process.
